Iowa Casinos
There are a few gambling halls located in the state, the biggest number being on moored barges. The biggest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an American Indian gambling den in Tama, with 127,669 square feet of gambling area, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, like vingt-et-un, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and many types of poker; including three restaurants, biweekly entertainment, and gaming advice. A further substantial Indian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four dining rooms. There are several other dominant Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a paddle wheel boat gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. One more Iowa water based casino, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot water based gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday twenty-one tournaments.
Iowa casinos present an excellent amount of tax income to the state government of Iowa, which has enabled the budgeting of a good many state wide projects. Visitors have gotten bigger at a rapid rate accompanied with the request for services and a gain in jobs.
